If your Macard N300 WiFi extender is acting up or experiencing technical issues, a quick reset might solve the problem. Follow this easy guide to reset the device and set it up again from scratch.

How to Reset Your Macard N300 WiFi Extender

On your Macard extender, you'll find three buttons: Power, WPS, and Reset. The reset button is a small pinhole, so you’ll need a pointed object like a pen or paperclip to press it.

Here’s how to reset your extender:

  1. Locate the Reset button on the device.

  2. Use a pointed object to press and hold the button for about 10 seconds.

  3. Release it when the LED indicators begin to blink.

  4. Wait for the extender to reboot.

Resetting your device will erase all previous settings and restore it to factory defaults.

Reconfiguring the Macard N300 Extender

Once your extender has reset, you'll need to set it up again. Make sure you have a PC or laptop, your extender’s default network credentials (usually found on the label), and the extender powered on close to your main WiFi router.

There are two ways to reconfigure it: WPS setup and manual setup. Let’s walk through both.

Option 1: WPS Setup (Quick & Easy)

  1. Plug in the extender near your main router and switch it on.

  2. Press the WPS button on the extender.

  3. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.

  4. Wait for the extender’s WiFi/WPS light to turn solid green. This means it’s successfully connected.

You can now connect your devices to the extended network using your existing WiFi password.

Option 2: Manual Setup (Web Interface Method)

  1. Plug in the extender within range of your WiFi router.

  2. On your PC, connect to the extender’s default WiFi network (SSID) listed on its label.

  3. Open a web browser and type go.macard.online or 192.168.10.1 in the address bar.

  4. When prompted, enter the default admin password: admin (all lowercase), then click Login.

  5. Choose your preferred language.

  6. The extender will scan for nearby networks. Select your home WiFi network and enter its password.

  7. Create a name (SSID) and password for your extended network.

  8. Click Save, and wait for the extender to reboot and apply the settings.

Once done, you’ll be able to connect to your newly extended WiFi network using the name and password you just set up.
